Alchemyst Vaping Mysts

After waiting about a month for these to steep, I decided that this week was the week to take them out of hiding and give them the 'ole review treatment. All of the Alchemyst juices were acquired during their giveaway of 1000 bottles (one for myself, one for Chase, and one was given to me by a friend who didn't care for it).

Alchemyst Vaping Mysts - Faebrynth (0mg)

Review: 5/10

Flavors: Honeydew Melon, Pear, Nectarine, Whiskey Spirits

When alchemy was giving away bottles of juice, this was my first choice! Sadly, that was also before I realized I'm not really a "melon" juice person. However, when I received this juice it tasted more like "soapy melons" than anything else. Given how much juice Alchemyst gave away during that promotion, I can assume it was probably a brand new bottle, so I let it (and my other Alchemyst juices) steep for about a month.

Now that the juice has steeped, the soapy taste is gone, but I'm still not a huge fan. The description is fairly accurate, and although you can taste all of the promised flavors, the melon is definitely the star of the show. The pear and nectarine mingle very nicely and the spirits taste comes out in the aftertaste. As a side note, although I ordered this juice in 0MG, it irritates my throat quite a bit. It's not the same irritation that I would get with a nicotine tingle, but more of a need to constantly clear my throat as soon as I vape it.

Alchemyst Vaping Mysts - Aphrodite (3mg)

Review: 8/10

Flavors: Apricot, Cherry, Apple, Black Tea, Chai Spice

This was Chase's choice from the Alchemyst giveaway, which is why it's my first (and probably only) review in 3MG. Chase did not care for it at all (this was his "cough syrup" liquid), but I don't mind it! Sadly, it's hard for me to vape much of it because the nicotine is so harsh on my throat (that's not the juice's fault, that's my fault for not usually vaping with nicotine). I suspect that in 0MG, I'd likely give it an even higher score because the flavors would really come out.

While not an ADV for me, this is a beautiful vape and I might consider ordering it again in 0MG. It's got a lovely, fresh apricot/apple inhale that really nails the flavors of the fruits. The tea/spice come out gently in the exhale and add a really lovely note of complexity and depth that finishes this liquid in a really satisfying way. Of the liquids I've tried, this one has the freshest and most authentic taste I've ever had. There's no feeling that they added sweetening and the level of sugar is exactly what you would expect from the ripe, juicy fruits that make up the flavor profile.

Alchemyst Vaping Mysts - The Arabian (0mg)

Review: 6/10

Flavors: Coffee, Cardamom, Ginger, Cloves, Cream

This one was given to me by a friend who ordered it during the giveaway and didn't care for it. Honestly, I hated it at first and was a little afraid to try it again even after steeping for about a month (and leaving the cap off for 2-3 days early in the steeping period). If nothing else, I will say that this liquid has, hands down, the strongest smell out of any e-liquid I've tried so far. Initially, the coffee flavor was so powerful that I couldn't vape it because while I like coffee, I don't like pure, black coffee -- and that's exactly what this tasted like. According to Chase, it also smelled "like actual shit."

After steeping for a month with and without the lid, the flavor has toned down enough that you can catch the individual additions to the flavor profile. The smell is still VERY strong and can easily be smelled with the lid on. However, this liquid is still a bit too much "coffee" for me. Nonetheless, it definitely does what it promises to do: create a complex coffee flavor with a nice, creamy exhale. For coffee lovers, I think this would be a excellent vape -- especially if you like your coffee strong. If you don't, you'll want to let this steep for... A while.
